Điều kiện lập bàn thờ Phật
Lập bàn thờ Phật trong nhà là việc làm mang lại cho gia chủ nhiều phúc nghiệp nhưng theo tập tục của người Việt mình tự ngàn đời thì việc bày trí bàn thờ Phật không phải công việc đơn giản mà đòi hỏi các điều kiện sau:
-Điều kiện tiên quyết thứ nhất là gia chủ phải thành tâm, một lòng hướng về giáo lý của đạo Phật. Khi đã tự nhận bản thân là tín đồ Phật giáo thì nhất thiết phải ăn chay vào hai ngày mùng 1 và ngày rằm hàng tháng, không được sát sinh vì đó là giáo lý nhà Phật.
-Điều kiện thứ hai mà gia chủ cần phải ghi nhớ nằm lòng khi lập bàn thờ Phật là không được cúng xôi gà, thịt động vật bởi như trên đã đề cập, giáo lý của đạo Phật chủ trương chúng sinh không được sát sinh dù là con vật nhỏ bé nhất.
Phương hướng lập bàn thờ Phật
-Hướng lập bàn thờ Phật tốt nhất là quay theo cổng chính của ngôi nhà hoặc quay bàn thờ Phật về hướng xấu so với trạch mệnh của gia chủ để hóa giải vận xui.
-Bàn thờ Phật phải đặt ở vị trí cao hơn bàn thờ gia tiên nếu không sẽ phạm xung. Theo như cách lý giải trong phong thủy học thì Phật đã giác ngộ là bậc Đại giác nên ở vị trí cao hơn so với chúng sinh.
Sắm lễ thờ Phật
Cũng như cách bày trí bàn thờ gia tiên hợp phong thủy rước tài lộc, vận may vào nhà việc soạn sửa lễ cúng Phật cũng cần thiết phải tuân thủ các quy định dưới đây:
-Sắm các lễ chay: lễ chay trên bàn thờ Phật gồm có hương, hoa quả tươi, oản phẩm, xôi chè. Bạn tuyệt đối không được cúng lễ mặn trên bàn thờ Phật như cỗ tam sinh (trâu, dê, lợn) hay thịt gà, giò, chả. Ngoài ra cũng không nên mua tiền âm phủ hay vàng mã để dâng cúng trên bàn thờ Phật.
-Ăn chay, kiêng giới, làm điều thiện trước ngày dâng hương lễ Phật.
-Khi dâng hoa tươi lễ Phật nên chọn hoa sen, hoa huệ, mẫu đơn chứ không được dùng các loại hoa dại.
Hương cúng dàng Phật
Theo giáo lý Phật giáo, số lẻ mang ý nghĩa linh thiêng nên khi thắp hương, người Việt thường thắp số lượng là số lẻ như 1, 3, 5, 7, 9. Đặc biệt con số 3 với nhiều ý nghĩa: Tam bảo (Phật, Pháp, Tăng), Tam giới (Dục giới, Sắc giới, Vô sắc giới), Tam thời (Quá khứ, Hiện tại, Vị lai), Tam vô lậu học (Giới, Định, Tuệ) nên số lượng 3 nén hương rất phổ biến.
Khái niệm vô thường trong giáo lý nhà Phật được thể hiện rõ nét ở nén hương. Không có gì là vĩnh viễn, mọi thứ đều là giả tạm. Nén hương cháy rồi tàn tượng trưng cho đời người ngắn ngủi. Tàn tro mang ý nghĩa thời gian trôi vùn vụt như “bóng câu qua cửa sổ” để chúng ta quý trọng từng phút giây không để nó trôi qua uổng phí.
Hương, hoa, đăng (đèn), trà, quả, thực (thức ăn) là sáu lễ vật dâng cúng theo nghi lễ của đạo Phật. Bạn chỉ nên bày biện đủ không thừa mứa như yến tiệc hay thiếu trên bàn thờ Phật. Vì hương thơm, đèn sáng, hoa tươi, trái ngọt, nước trong mới đúng là ý nghĩa của sự lập bàn thờ cúng Phật.
Cách bày trí tượng Phật
Có những quy tắc bất di bất dịch về việc thờ Phật tại gia với mong muốn được bảo hộ về mặt tâm linh.
-Đặt tượng Phật ở nơi yên tĩnh, thoáng đãng, trai tịnh không được đặt trong phòng ngủ bởi sẽ mất đi sự uy nghi nghiêm trang của lễ Phật. Nếu nhà rộng rãi, bạn nên xây dựng phòng thờ tách biệt với các khu vực chức năng khác.
-Một tượng Phật là đủ không nhất thiết phải mua quá nhiều tượng Phật về nhà. Thờ cúng Phật chỉ cần một pho tượng hoặc ảnh Phật và sự thành ý là được.
-Không được ngồi lên trên hoặc cuộn tròn lại hay để xuống đất tranh ảnh Phật.
– Tắm tượng Phật vào các ngày rằm bằng nước thơm khi tượng cũ đi nên lau chùi tô vẽ lại. Khi tượng hỏng cần phải thỉnh các tăng rồi mới thay bằng pho khác, nhờ chuyển lên chùa khai quang tuyệt đối không được vứt bỏ tượng Phật một cách tùy tiện.
-Không được đặt tượng Phật ở những nơi ẩm thấp, không sạch sẽ.
-Đặt tượng tốt nhất là trên một chiếc đĩa lót giấy đỏ.
